Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and driven Sales Manager to lead our business growth efforts in Central America and possibly a few countries close to this area. This role will focus on increasing Victron Energy's presence in the market, with particular attention to off-grid energy solutions and potential opportunities within the mining sector. The Sales Manager will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the overall success of the company in the region. The candidate must reside in 1 of the mentioned countries and will work remotely, reporting directly to the Regional Sales Director for LATAM.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aimed at driving business growth in Central / South American countries (like Panama, Guatemala, Belize and others), with a strong focus on off-grid energy solutions and expanding into sectors like mining.
· Identify and engage new business opportunities through proactive cold calling, networking, and participation in trade and industry events.
· Build and nurture relationships with distributors, installers, OEMs, and other key partners across relevant sectors.
· Deliver training and technical support to customers, ensuring they fully understand Victron Energy’s product offerings and installation processes.
· Stay informed of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new growth opportunities.
· Collaborate closely with the LATAM sales team to align on national targets.
· Travel as needed across LATAM and internationally for industry events, and trade shows.
Key Requirements:
· We prefer to find candidates who would like to work for Victron in Latin America as an independent contractor.
· Residence in one of the mentioned countries in south America or central America is mandatory.
· Fluent in Spanish and English, and Portuguese would be a plus.
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently from a home base and manage a flexible schedule.
· Experience in the Renewable Energy Sector, particularly with off-grid solutions and Victron products, is a significant advantage.
· Knowledge or experience in the mining sector is highly desirable.
· Strong background in business sales and development within the Building, Engineering, or Electrical trades.
· Proven ability to achieve business growth and hit sales targets.
· Excellent proficiency in Microsoft and iOS platforms.
· Strong cold calling and customer acquisition skills; a proven track record of developing new business.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in trade and industry shows.
· Willingness to travel abroad for meetings and trade shows.
· Ability to deliver technical training and product demonstrations to customers and partners.
